Tips that get you noticed
- One page. Captains skim dozens of CVs — anything longer gets skipped.
- Photo, top-right. A clean, professional headshot in a plain polo. Standard in yachting.
- Certificates first. STCW and ENG1 dates up top — no certs, no callback.
- Show you'll graft. Any hospitality, trades, watersports or teamwork experience counts as green crew.
- References. List daywork references with permission — word-of-mouth is everything in yachting.
